Shedd Aquarium Free
The Shedd Aquarium’s Free Days are the same as the Adler Planetarium Free Days, and since both museums are located conveniently in Grant Park’s Museum Campus, it is easy to get a full day (or two) of free learning and exploration.

Shedd Aquarium Free Days provide free General Admission to Waters of the World galleries, the Caribbean Reef and Amazon Rising. Entry to the Oceanarium and Wild Reef is available for an additional fee.

The Shedd Aquarium is open daily 9am–6pm during summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day); Weekdays 9am–5pm and Weekends 9am–6pm off-season (Labor Day to Memorial Day); The Shedd Aquarium is closed on Christmas Day. Call 312-939-2438 or visit the official Shedd Aquarium Free Days info page if you have any questions.

If you’re looking to visit the Shed Aquarium but these Free Days don’t work for you, check out the Go Chicago Card to get discounts to the Shed Aquarium and many other Chicago Attractions.

  1. are you sure that there are free days in Shedd Aquarium in September? on their official website is no such info, only about October and November…

  2. Hi, I am a school teacher in Michigan and I am planning to visit Shedd Aquarium during Spring Break of 09. I’m looking at April 8th and 9th. There will be 3 Adults and 4 Children. Am I able to receive a discount? Also, I heard certain days of the year have free admission. Do you have a list of free days for 2009 yet. What hotel do you recommend that is kid friendly? Thank you for any information you can give me.
