yea, pitchfork was awesome. yoko ono sucked… hard, but for the price, and the amount of good music it was excellent, really. sonic youth killed it.

It’s a nice little festival as far as bands and activities, but All Knowing is right – it is not organized very well. Last year, Professor Murder and Fugiya & Miyagi were on a small back lot where no one could move to dance (traffic passing by was almost louder than the bands). Also, one of the Junior Boys’ speakers kept going out ever 30 seconds to a minute and then coming back on – terrible! They were great, but sound was HORRIBLE! All in all, the festival was more frustrating than rewarding. I will spend a little more to see the samller stages at Lolla. Better sound systems, better crowds…

Are you insane? At over 40 bands for $50 it’s the best bang for your buck as far as festivals go. And with the addition of the Don’t Look Back Series it’s only going to get better. With less people (probably about 15,000 at it’s peak on Saturday and Sunday) it’s smaller and easier to navigate than Lollapalooza. You probably don’t know any of the bands there. Sorry Matchbox 20 couldn’t make it.

Pitchfork fest is a HUGE waste of time. Probably the worst planned out event you will ever go to. STAY AWAY!
