It’s great that so many people still don’t “get” Yoko Ono. Tourists are the last to know. Avant Garde must be an alien concept. Performance art, historical Japanese musics forms, cutting edge jazz, peace and love before cake in bed. Thanks for making me feel special.

Pitchfork is a real hoot. Yeah, it’s bit disorganized, but I love the acts, the local color, the price is great. As to Lolla, that’s a hoot too, and, as far as I am concerned there is room in Chicago for both festivals. Both have different points of view, both are great.

However, since I am getting on in years, however, I do wish the sound at Pitchfork were a little better. Other than that criticism, Pitchfork rocks.

May I say that last year might have had some unforeseen difficulties that didn’t befall previous years? I didn’t attend this past year, but the one before that was wonderfully done.

Pitchfork IS unorganized and it’s extremely frustrating that there aren’t even posted dates for 2008 yet, but it’s still one of the best festivals in the midwest

Well, the weekend is the 18-19-20 judged by the fact that one of my ALL time fav. bands THE APPLES IN STEREO is booked to play pitchfork on the 20th!!!!!!! I may make the drive from Atl. to Chi. just to see them

Of course it is a little messy, but its a music festival! Its supposed to be! I’m sure good ol’ corporate megafestival Lolla is better organized but I prefer my experiences in life to be less mediated by giant corporations.

Pitchfork is excellent and the quality of acts is top notch. I’m just not interested in going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Blues Traveler. I can turn on XRT if I want to hear them.

Just because the trains run on time doesn’t mean something is good.
