Lollapalooza 2009 will take place in Chicago’s Grant Park, August 7-9, 2009. The lineup for Lollapalooza 2009 will include Depeche Mode, Tool, The Killers, Jane’s Addiction, Beastie Boys Kings of Leon, Lou Reed and many more. Stay tuned to Chicago Hot Blog for all your Lollapalooza 2009 news.

2009 will mark the 5th consecutive year that Lollapalooza will be held in Grant Park and is currently under contract to be held at Grant Park every summer through 2018. I attended Lollapalooza a few years ago and it was a great time. Even if you aren’t a huge fan of any particular bands, Lollapalooza 2009 promises to be an awesome 3 day event and perhaps as close as you’ll ever get to the mood and feel of Woodstock.

If you want to ride your bike to Lollapalooza 2009, be sure to take advantage of the Chicago Bike Valet service so you know your bike will be in a safe place.

    According to a couple online boards it has been confirmed that Radiohead and NIN will be headlining.. Also apparently on the Muse message board they also confirmed that they were doing lolla 08.

    Daft Punk could not possibly be there, because bands can’t do Lollapalooza two years in a row. Also, if Hannah Montana was at Lollapalooza, I hope no one would go. That would destroy everything for which Lollapalooza was created.

    Daft Punk is done with their U.S. tour. Saw them at Lolla last year — best performance I have ever seen in my life. I cried a little when it was over, partly because I’ve never seen something so amazing before and partly because I know I’ll never see anything so amazing again in my lifetime.

    I know what you guys are saying about Daft Punk. I am on a life mission to replicate my Daft experience in NYC 2007. So much so, that I went to see Justice there recently. It was crazy, but nothing like Daft Punk!!!

    Muse is not confirmed, though Muse would be incredible, without question… they put on the show of the century last year, in my humble opinion.

    FYI…….The Apple Store in Chicago is having a free Lollapalooza kickoff show with Black Kids, Foals, and The Kills. Kid Sister is the MC and Flosstradamus are DJing. It starts at 7 pm on Thursday the 31st. Boom!
