Holiday Sports Festival 2007

McCormick Place will host Chicago’s Holiday Sports Festival from December 28-30, 2007. The Holiday Sports Festival will run from 10am-4pm each day and admission is free.
The Holiday Sports Festival will feature numerous interactive zones, including Trampolines, Climbing Walls, Football, Obstacle Course, Tot’s Zone, Inflatable Tumbling, Boxing, Giant Slide, Skateboarding Area, and over 15 other activities. Demonstrations will include local drum lines, hip hop and salsa dancing, and martial arts.
Along with Volleyball, Basketball, Floor Hockey and Table Tennis tournaments, this year’s Holiday Sports Festival at McCormick Place will have plenty of activities for everyone. One important note is that while there will be open court Volleyball and Basketball, you will need to bring your own ball.

Holiday Sports Festival Fitness Area
Visit the expanded Holiday Sports Festival Fitness Area presented by the Mayor’s Fitness Council. Certified fitness instructors will lead classes in cardio kickboxing, salsa aerobics, pilates, yoga and more! There are fitness demos, lectures on nutrition, bike safety, and family fitness. Essential health screenings will also be available, including body fat composition measurements.Holiday Sports Festival Halftime Stage
New areas and activities include those at the Holiday Sports Festival Chill Out Zone, a place where kids and parents can relax, read, color or just hang out. New sports are wrestling and track & field. Children and families will also have the opportunity to interact with the G-Man of Radio Disney along with on-air personalities from B-96! There will be other special performances and appearances that include hip hop & salsa dancing, a drumline, martial arts demonstrations and more and it all happens from 12 to 4 p.m. daily at the Halftime stage. The Halftime Stage is located at the entrance of Hall A. The Chicago Sky, a member of the WNBA, will also be in attendance on Friday, December 28.
