Freedom Museum
The McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum is free to public through November 9, 2008.

The McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum is dedicated to the first amendment, with exhibits centering around freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and petition. The Freedom Museum was opened in April 2006 and is located at 453 N. Michigan Avenue, in the first two levels of the Tribune Tower.

The Freedom Museum is open Weds 10am-8pm; Thurs-Mon 10am-6pm. There are occasional early (5pm) closings for special events, so please check the official Freedom Museum website.

The McCormick Freedom Museum is the nation’s first museum dedicated to freedom and the First Amendment.

Opening its doors on April 11, 2006, the Freedom Museum inspires generations to understand, value and protect freedom. Through interactive exploration, visitors gain a greater understanding of the struggle for freedom in the United States and the role the First Amendment plays in our daily lives.

The McCormick Freedom Museum seeks to inspire visitors to better understand freedom and value the role the First Amendment plays in protecting freedom for future generations.
