The people that brought you Acoustic Chicago are pleased to announce Ecoustic Chicago, a night of musical and artistic fusion, with a eye towards protecting the environment. Ecoustic Chicago will take place the evening of Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 7pm. Ecoustic Chicago will be hosted by Chicago’s own Marty Casey and takes place at Joe’s Bar (940 weed street). Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door, and can be purchased at the official Ecoustic Chicago website.

Ecoustic Chicago is shaping up to be an incredible event, featuring artists from across Chicago and combining different art forms to create a new experience.

Here are some highlights to look forward to at Ecoustic Chicago:

Musical Acts – The Andreas Kapsalis Trio, Sarah Potenza, Mike Mangione, Micki Croisant, Jen Porter, Malcolm Palmer, Scottish McMillan, Mari Anne Jayme

Fashion – Eco-friendly fashions from Excentrique featuring local and national designers.

Live Art – Painters set up on the stage; complete painting by the end of the set or end of the event.

Interactive Art Video Screen – Set up on stage, the VJ interacts visually while the musicians play.

Live Soundtrak Improv - The AK Trio will improvise a live soundtrack to a short silent film as they watch along with the audience.
