Chicago World Cup
The 2008 Chicago World Cup will take place on Saturday, June 21st at The Chicago YMCA, 2700 S. Western Avenue. The Chicago World Cup is a competition between international communities, with local players representing their countries. The event is free to the public. Games are expected to run from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

Fashioning itself after the international World Cup competition, The Chicago World Cup brings together different international communities across Chicago, in the spirit of sport and competition. For updated news and schedules, check out the official Chicago World Cup website.

2008 Chicago World Cup

For the third year in a row, expatriates from the entire World, members of local foreign communities as well as Chicagoans, will play for their motherland national teams in the Fellowes Chicago World Cup 2008, the most mutlicultural soccer tournament in town.

The sixteen national teams will play this one-day tournament on June 21th, 2008 at the YMCA Rauner Family, 2700 S. Western Avenue in Chicago. They will try to become the third Fellowes ChicagoWorldCup Champions to win the exact replica of the FIFA World-Cup trophy that will be presented to them at a later date on the field of the Toyota Park by the Chicago Fire.
