Chicago Venetian Night 2008
Chicago’s Venetian Night 2008 will take place on Saturday, July 26. Attracting more than 500,000 people, Venetian Night is your chance to catch a glimpse of 35 of Chicago’s fanciest boats, decked out with lights. The boat parade runs from Shedd Aquarium to the Yacht Club at Monroe Street, so you’ll want to get a spot in Grant Park along the lake.
Chicago Venetian Night – Schedule
6:30pm – Pavarotti Tribute Concert @ Millenium Park (Pritzker Pavilion)
7:45pm – Dramatic re-enactment of air/sea rescue

Approximately 35 boats will be decorated with lights and props as they sail along beautiful Lake Michigan, between the Shedd Aquarium at Roosevelt Road and the Chicago Yacht Club at Monroe Street. With an expected attendance of 675,000, public transportation, walking or biking to Venetian Night is suggested.
Venetian Night is the longest running event that the City of Chicago produces, and was once a multiple day event that featured a beauty pageant and parade on State Street in addition to the lighted boat parade and fireworks show on the waterfront.
