The 2008 Chicago Summer Dance Festival will take place every Thurs-Sat (6pm-9pm) and Sundays (4pm-7pm) from June 12 - Aug 24. Chicago Summer Dance takes place 601 s. Michigan, in the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park (Michigan Ave, south of Harrison). Chicago Sumer Dance is free to the public and features a different style of music every week. Certain Wednesdays will also have special events at alternate locations.

Every evening of Chicago Summer Dance features a one-hour dance lesson taught by professional instructors and is followed by two hours of live music and dancing on a 4,600 square foot open-air dance floor. Thursdays feature World Music, Friday & Saturdays feature Popular Music (jazz, latin), and Sundays feature ballroom and big band. Chicago Summer Dance

Chicago Summer Dance is an eleven-week festival featuring one-hour dance lessons by professional instructors, followed by two hours of live music and dancing on a 4,600 square foot open-air dance floor in the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park, 601 S. Michigan Ave. Summer Dance events occur every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, 6 to 9:30 pm, and Sunday afternoon, 4 to 7 pm, weather-permitting.
