Chicago Ribfest

The 2008 Chicago Ribfest will take place on June 7-8, 2008 at the intersection of Damen, Lincoln, and Irving Park. More than 40,000 people are expected to flood the streets for food and music. With over 20 musical acts, the 2008 Chicago Ribfest is a great way to jumpstart your summer. $5 entrance fee. Food prices vary.

Kick off the summer at Ribfest Chicago! What started in 1999 as a community block party has exploded into Chicago’s most anticipated street festival. This hot summer event offers something for everyone — rib aficionados can vote for the restaurant with the “Best Ribs,” not to mention, fest goers can also honor restaurants with a “Fest Fave” award (favorite food item at the festival) and “Hot Off the Grill” award (best overall griller).
