Celebrating 30 years in the Windy City, The 2008 Chicago Jazz Festival will be August 28-31. On Thursday, August 28, the opening night concert will take place at 7pm at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millenium Park. The remainder of the Chicago Jazz Festival will take place in Grant Park, 10am - 9pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Chicago Jazz Fest is free to the public.
Featuring music on 4 different stages, the 2008 Chicago Jazz Festival is one of the highlights of Chicago’s Labor Day weekend. Featuring National and Local acts, the Chicago Jazz Festival has a long history of celebrating Jazz music and everything associated with. Head down to Grant Park and enjoy the music, food and fun.

30 never looked so good! The Chicago Jazz Festival, the city of Chicago’s longest running music festival, announces the dates for the 30th Annual event, August 28-31, 2008. What began as a festival to remember jazz greats Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, has turned into an annual celebration of jazz music that is not to be missed. This Labor Day weekend tradition showcases the diverse talent of local, national and international musicians, with many different genres of jazz music represented throughout the celebration.
