The Museum of Science and Industry has various Free Days throughout 2008 to help celebrate its 75th anniversary. Open Mon–Sat 9:30am – 4pm; Sunday 11am – 4pm.
The Art Institute of Chicago is free to the public on Thursday evenings from 5-8pm.
Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art is free every Tuesday. The museum is open from 10am-8pm on Tuesdays, and admission is open to everyone.
I have not been able to find any documentation concerning Looptopia 2011. There was no Looptopia in 2009 or 2010 and there does not appear to be any chance of Looptopia in 2011.
